Description

Minimalist is tweak mod that essentially borrows a bunch of small tweaks from various other mods and puts them into one place.

Minimalist 1

The AutoMagic options, show above are:

  • Auto-Ignore Duels – tired of being challenged to duels? Then turn this on and you never even see the pop-up window.
  • Auto-Repair – you get a pop-up when whenever you visit a merchant that can repair your items/armor with options to fix worn item, inventory items or both. It also shows the cost of the repairs and total cost to repair everything.
  • Auto-Resurrect -automatically accepts Resurrections. Now you can go AFK while taking a dirt nap without worrying about missing being resurrected by your friendly cleric.
  • Auto-Sell Grey Items – tired of searching though your bags for all the junk to sell? Turn this on and visit a vendor and poof all that junk is gone.
  • Auto-Skip Useless Gossips – this brows right past the first screen on venders that have a single option in ther chat box.
  • Smart Taxi – Bypass taxi chat box and auto dismount and de-shift druids

Minimalist 2
Interface Options:

  • Better Reputation – displays reputation number on the rep tab of your char info and displays rep progress when you are awarded reputation in the chat box.
  • Disable Gryphons – gets rid of the gryphons on around the action bars.
  • Display Quest Levels – Displays quest levels pretty much anyplace your quest names appear.
  • Fixed Inspect – removes the distance checking for inspecting other players.
  • Honor Progress Percent – shows % of honor progress

Minimalist 3

Chat Options:

  • Fix Arrow Keys -Lets your use [Left] and [Right] to move through the text you are typeing into the edit box without haveing to hold [Alt]
  • Hide Buttons – hides the button on the chat windows
  • Move Input Box – moves the chat input box to the top of the main chat frame
  • Mouse Scrolling – enables using the mouse wheel o scroll chat frames.
  • Reduce Chat Clutter – Shortens chat channel names, IE. [Guild] becomes (G), [Party] becomes (P), etc.
  • Time Stamps – adds a time stamp to char messages.

Minimalist 4

MiniMap options:

  • Hide Clutter – turns off the zoom in/out buttons, titles area (zone name, etc) and sun dial.
  • Location X, Y – adds your X, Y coordinates to the lower portion of the minmap.
  • MouseWheel Zoom – allows you to use the mouse wheel to zoom in/out on the minimap.

Note: almost none of the code in Minimalist is new or originally written by Grennon. He freely copied the code from various addons giving credit to the original addon both in his included ReadMe.txt and source code. What’s nice about Minimalist is he gathers a whole lot of nice little tweaks from a lot of addons and places them in one place adding a nice and easy way to turn individual parts on/off.

  2. Thanks Kyahx. I update the review. I generaly write these up during downtime at work so I’m working from memory and screen shots I’ve taken.

  3. Where can I find this? It doesn’t seem to be on the ace zips page.

  4. Minimalist is available on WoWinterface. Just do a search for it and it will pop up. It’s one of the few ace addons that never made it over to the SVN.

  5. Love this mod, but it seems to take up about twice the amount of memory that AG_UnitFrames does, something that I thought would use much more memory.
